These breezy bars packed with chocolates and marshmallows along with rich cashew biscuits are a must try ! My 7 year old daughter had a fun time helping me make them ! The recipe from Nigella Lawson was followed fully without any changes !
What's in the Bars !
What's in the Bars !
- Butter (softened) - 125 gm
- Dark chocolate - 300 gm, (good quality bar- broken)
- Golden syrup - 3 heaped tablespoons
- Biscuits - 200 gm ( i used Good Day-Cashew)
- Mini marshmallows - 100 gm
- Icing sugar for dusting - 2 tsp (optional)
How to make them !
In a heavy pan melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup. Reserve some of this yummy liquid for dribbling out later !
With a rolling pin roughly whack the biscuits (put in a zip-lock bag) to crumbs n pieces. Fold the biscuits and the marshmallows in to the chocolate mix.
Pour the entire mix to a tray/box and flatten with a spatula. Pour the reserved chocolate mix over the tray and smooth the top.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hrs or overnight. Cut in to bars and bite in to sinful delight anytime -Enjoy !!
