Sizzling Tangy Idlis

Yes, this is the name I give to the yummy little things that my hubby made from our very humble looking IDLIS. My hubby came from work raving about this sizzling snack served in his hotel. Based on his recollection of the ingredients  and a little experimenting he made this lovely tit-bits at home.
It was a perfect snack for the rainy sunday afternoon.

Cut the idli in to half.

Now make a slit as shown through the belly of the halved idli for the pickle filling.

Stuff the pickle in the pouch/slit of the idli.Hubby had lemon pickle as filling in the snack that was served to him. At home Fresh Green Mango Pickle (Mangai Keeru)  was used as stuffing.

Now dip it in the idli batter to seal the opening.
Roll the idlis over the Gun Powder to spice it up.

Deep fry in Oil till golden brown.
Serve hot with Ketchup/Sauce.
