There is something utterly charming about simplicity; imagine a clutter free and fuss free life devoid of all the ditzy shenanigans. Cool right ? Things as simple as a morning walk can elevate us to dizzying amounts of positivism. What about the unabashed glee of a kid having the time of his life with a car that's on the verge of falling apart (lessons from my 3 year old), That teaches us something ; to enjoy the beauty of simplicity, celebrate life with it's entire baggage - the imperfections, monotony et al.It also means enjoying life without any guilt (read sinful indulgence every once in a while).
Life is so much beautiful after digging in to a mouthful of nutella. Don't you agree ? The chocolate-hazelnut spread is sheer ecstasy as long as you are not counting the calories :P So when a recipe has just 4 ingredients one of which is the delightful spread and the other 3 items are basic pantry essentials, I don't wait for a reason to bake - no excuse in the name of a birthday or an anniversary or a mother's day and it's ilk :D
The bake is simply to indulge the senses and the promises of a zesty delight is more than fulfilled. The best part was the breezy recipe made my daughter don her apron to whip and spoon the batter - Jai Ho Junior Master chef :D
The egg I used was not large, but the pantry had only 1 and yours truly was at her laziest best and hence went ahead with the recipe.
Warning :- The pictures were taken by a very pestered mom with 3 kids (including hubby dearest) who wouldn't wait for any dainty clicks !
Ingredients :- (Prep Time : 5 min, Cooking Time : 10 mins, Serves : depending upon the shape of tin used)

Ingredients :- (Prep Time : 5 min, Cooking Time : 10 mins, Serves : depending upon the shape of tin used)
- Nutella Spread - 1/2 cup (approx 150 to 160 grams)
- Egg - 1 large
- All Purpose Flour - 4 to 5 tbsp
- Peanuts - as required (for sprinkling) {Hazelnuts, if you have}
Here's How :-
Preheat the oven to 175 C / 350 F. Grease and line the muffin pan/cupcake tins and set aside.
In a bowl, tip in the spread and dunk the egg. Whisk until smooth and shiny batter. Add the flour and mix again till well blended.
Spoon the batter to the prepared tin/pan and sprinkle the chopped nuts.
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes, until a toothpick comes wet and gooey.
Verdict & Observation:-
Super yum, and delightful. It's best to check the bake with a pick after a good 9 minutes if you want the brownies to have a gooey inner. Leave it for a 2 to 3 minutes more the brownies may miss the gooey twinge. Whatever may be the case you are in for a tasty treat !I served it with some butter-scotch ice-cream and the pairing was indeed a made-in-heaven affair.
