Saturday nights are generally sombre- hubby dearest is usually @ work and not expected till 11 pm. That means my kids n me are happy with maggi noodles that have seem to become the saturday night (*). Yesterday was different- hubby had taken the evening off and we decided to spend the night watching TV and junking on titbits. Nothing on the Idiot Box excited us except the Wimbledon. The News channel came to the rescue with all n sundry interesting happenings - from the review of friday flicks (Delhi Belly looks engaging) and the verdict on Neeraj Grover murder to the wealth amassed in the Tiruvanandhapuram Temple, the updates had us hooked. It was also a happy snacking time with hubby making a huge sandwich piled with veggies, cheese & eggs. I call it the jumbo quickwich (it was a quick assembling of ingredients). The best part was that he not only chopped, diced n sliced but he also took clicks as he assembled the quickwich. The sandwich got a huge =D> from kids and me and Hubby wore a happy :> look !
And yes it was not a night for watching calories :D - we snacked on merrily ;))
What's in it :- (preparation time: 10-15 minutes, serves: 1, spice level - low)
