Sweet Lime Juice

After a week of TLC & TCW (Tender Coconut Water), I am back on my toes. The severe viral infection is booted off and shown the door and am all groovy again!
The viral did have its positive side- my weighing scale is reporting happy news but on a serious note I am delighted to be back on the cooking scene. A week full of rasam rice and soup was good but my heart(h) missed all the culinary creations, inventions and (mis) adventures!
The recipe for the day is a very easy, health friendly, scorching heat repellent & a mighty thirst quencher. Sweet Limes(Mausambi) have a very cooling effect on the body and is rich in Vitamin C.

What's in the Juice:-

  • Sweet Lime (Mausambi/Mosambi) - 3 to 4
  • Lemon Juice - juice of a lemon - to taste
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Cumin Powder- a pinch - optional
  • Pepper Powder - a pinch - optional
  • Water - as required
  • Crushed Ice

How:-

Peel the skin and the thin outer layer from the sweet lime. Also remove all the seeds (else they give an awkward bitter taste to the juice) before extracting the fruit pieces. Run them over in mixer with little water and sugar. Filter the mixture (if required) or enjoy the rugged juice without straining. Mix in cumin powder, pepper powder.Pour in to glasses with crushed ice.
Enjoy !
