I was tagged by Shanavi and Gayu with a fun set of questions. Thank you both ! Here are my answers----
1. Are you a vegetarian, or have you thought about being one?
Am a vegetarian.
2.Who inspired you to cook or bake?
I will say it's my hubby dearest who inspired me to cook. My mom is a wonderful cook, but i was never inclined towards cooking. After marriage the saying that the shortest route to a man's heart through stomach was very true in my case and i developed interest and passion in cooking !
3. How do you celebrate Christmas?...or a favorite holiday of your choice?
Am a Hindu and there is always one festival or other throughout the year and all of them are celebrated with lots of gusto n fervour. Visiting temples, making delicious dishes & of course binging on them and most importantly being surrounded by loved ones is the highlight of any celebration ! Also Christmas is one festival which i believe transcends religion barriers.....and with my daughter too fond of Santa , plum cake, cookies and the decorations, our house comes alive on Dec 25 !
4. Do you prefer to celebrate New Year's Eve with friends and/or family, or prefer to ring in the New Year quietly, and privately, at home?
I love to celebrate it at home--- order food and drinks from my favourite restaurant, channel surf like crazy , and at the stroke of 12.00 we huddle together & pray for happiness, love n peace for the year ahead. I call up my near n dear ones and wish them. Nothing to beat ringing in the new year with family at home !
5. If someone were to ask you to bring dessert to a party, what would you bring? Store bought, or homemade, and if you were to make homemade, what would you make?
I have a sweet tooth-- so am defenitely spoilt for choices.... i love them all-- Rasagulla, Kala Jamuns, Halwa, Rabdi,- the list is endless. Depending on the time available for making, i will defenitely prefer to take a homemade for the occassion.
6. How will you celebrate your next birthday ?
We plan a dinner or lunch (if it falls on a holiday) in our favourite restaurant . My daughter is fond of cake cutting so we get a cake at home (this year i plan to bake) . She blows the candle n cuts the cake on my behalf and brings the whole house down...this year my son will be 2 and a half on my birthday and its going to be double the fun n merriment !!
7. Do you have a New Year's resolution-and will you be sticking to it?
I always have a New Year Resolution and that is to stick to the so many resolutions i make throughout the year !!!
I am tagging the following people with this questionnaire---
Q 1) Who or what inspired your Food Blogging Journey ?
