Poori Masala is a very yummy and popular tiffin with my kids. Masala is potato curry in a semi solid state.
To prepare the poori, dough is prepared in the following manner:- Knead the Atta or wheat flour with water and little oil and make it in to a fine dough. Now make small balls of this dough and spread across the board to thin puris.
In a wok heat sufficient quantity of oil and deep fry the puris to a golden brown.
Puris are ready to be served
Now for the masala:-
Ingredients----- Potatoes Boiled, peeled and mashed ) , Onions ( finely chopped ), ginger, green chillis, curry leaves, mustard, cumin seeds, a pinch of turmeric powder, oil/butter for seasoning.
In a wok add some butter/oil and allow mustard and cumin seeds to splutter. Now add some curry leaves and ginger and stir it well with the onions. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and stir till mix turns light brown.
Now pour some water and salt and once it starts boiling add the mashed potatoes and allow it to simmer. Add a dollop of butter and ur dish is ready !!!!
