Apple Cake

Look at this lovely apples ---

I was goading my daughter to eat it , and instead she convinced me to make an apple cake. I am glad I made the cake because it turned out very tasty.

Here’s how  :-

Ingredients:-

  • All Purpose Flour - 2 cup
  • Apples – 2 (medium sized)
  • Eggs – 2 (I reckon 1 egg would be fine)
  • Baking Powder - 2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Butter - 1cup
  • Sugar -1 cup
  • Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon Powder - 2 tbsp + a little

The picture my daughter took while i was assembling the ingredients--- (the eggs are missing in this picture)

How:-

Preheat the oven to 175 C. Keep a baking try greased.

Wash the apples well. Peel and chop them in to small cubes. Mix little sugar and cinnamon powder and keep aside.

In the meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, butter, vanilla essence, butter and the eggs and mix in to a  batter.

Now stir in the apple mix to the batter.

Pour it in to the greased tray. Sprinkle a little cinnamon powder again (optional )

Bake it for 35- 40 min or till a fork comes clean and the top is golden brown.
My daughter couldn't resisit the delicious aroma of cinnamon wafting through the kitchen and took this shot----

Cool it in a wire rack for some time. Dust with Powdered Sugar to make it more dishy.

Serve n Enjoy !
